Secure Online Banking with Ubuntu

Instructions for ubuntu users
There is a simple way to create USB start up disk in Ubuntu. You will need 1G USB disk and just use standard tool "System > Administration > Create a USB startup disk"

Select "Discarded on shutdown" for better security or use "Store in reserved extra space" to save changes you have made to the system, but iptables settings will be reset on restart. Remaining disk space you can use as before.

Save IPTables firewall setup script to your hard disk (let's say path to scipts will be /home/user/scripts/firewall/) with some small changes. You can also read Basic iptables howto.

Skip this if you have DHCP - Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol.
If you have Static IP then create two files in scipts folder (see above).
- "resolv.conf" where you add name servers. For example:
nameserver 10.0.1.2
nameserver 10.0.0.2
- "interfaces". For example:

auto lo iface lo inet loopback auto eth0 iface eth0 inet static address 192.168.xxx.xxx network 192.168.xxx.xxx netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 192.168.xxx.xxx gateway 192.168.xxx.xxx

Change xxx to you actual settings.

And add these lines to the end of the firewall setup sript
# Configuring Static IP
cp /media/disk/home/user/scripts/firewall/resolv.conf /etc/resolv.conf
cp /media/disk/home/user/scripts/firewall/interfaces /etc/network/interfaces
/etc/init.d/networking restart

Start up your computer from created disk.
Run "firewall.sh" script in "Terminal" ("Applications > Accessorisies > Terminal"):
cd /media/disk/home/user/scripts/firewall/
sudo sh firewall.sh

That is all. Now you can do Secure Online Banking.

Instructions for users of other Operating System

Shultz tables

Shultz tables are usually applied to research and development of mental rate of perception, in particular speeds of visual roughly-search movements. Rules of work with Shultz tables
  • Find figures silently, in an increasing order from 1 to 25 (without omission). The found figures are specified only by a sight. As a result of such training time of reading of one table should be no more than 25 sec.
  • Before the beginning of work with the table the sight is fixed in its centre to see the table entirely.
  • By search of figures following one after another fixing of eyes only in the table centre is authorised. Horizontal movements of eyes are forbidden. Distance from the table to eyes same, as well as at reading of the usual text, i.e. About 25—30 sm.
  • Time and periodicity of trainings establish, remembering that it is not necessary to overtire.
While working with Shultz tables it is necessary to remember that training here not the aim. The main thing — expansion of a field of vision that can be reached by accurate following the rules of work with tables, the regular and realised trainings.
